Detail

The New Modern Home (TNMH) builds world-class, luxurious new homes in the greater Dallas area. Our homes focus on superior designs, utilizing top craftsmanship, while eliminating greenhouse gas emission, cold water waste, and home maintenance. The New Modern Home is seeking a full-time Architect Project Manager to join our team. The architect will be responsible for budget preparation and implementation, purchasing, administration, supervision, keeping timeline, designing and drawings of the ongoing and new house building projects. This is a high paced multi-faceted, highly engaging and challenging position.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Architecture
  • Must have a passion for saving the environment
  • Experience in house designing and building
  • Experience in AutoCAD
  • Experience with multi-story and multi-family architecture
  • Experience with large and medium scale projects
  • Fluency in verbal and written English and Spanish
  • Experience with 3D modeling and drafting software such as AutoCAD 2013 or newer, Rhino, SketchUP, Photoshop, InDesign, Revit, etc.
  • Experience with budgeting and timeline software such as OPUS, NeoData etc.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with budget, schedules, and other jurisdictional requirements
  • Experience in purchasing for house building projects
  • Able to complete assignments independently in a timely manner

Responsibilities

  • Budgeting
    • Construction project budget preparation
    • Individual House budget preparation
    • Land Development budget preparation
    • Financial budget preparation – weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly
    • Ensure that projected budget is closely followed
    • Detailed workload estimates
    • Unit Price Analysis
  • Purchasing
    • Purchasing all materials for development and construction of homes including stones, landscape materials, lamps, benches, other accessories, etc.
  • Administration and supervision
    • Project management and coordination
    • Construction site supervision
    • Collaboration and communications with engineers, laborers, inspectors, auditors, vendors, and more
    • Regular communication with the laborers and other personnel to assure proper workflow at the construction site
    • Attend weekly meetings with the whole team and clients as needed
    • Give guidance to other team members as needed
  • Timeline
    • Keep a timeline for the whole project beginning to end
    • Keep a timeline for individual house building process beginning to end
    • Keep a timeline for the development of a lot
    • Ensure all projects are on schedule
  • Design and drawings
    • AutoCAD Drawings and measurements
    • Design open concept floor plans for TNMH
    • Design landscape
    • Create constructions details for doors, windows, stairs, etc.
    • 3D modeling for exterior and interior
    • Draw for TNMH website
    • Rendering
    • Create designs that takes clients’ requirements into account, as well as other issues including safety, planning laws, etc.

Compensation

  • Salary – Annual salary is determined based on experience and skills.
  • Shares – There is an opportunity to earn shares based upon personal and company performance.
  • Vacation – Five days of paid time off in addition to five company holidays per year.
  • Health Insurance – Opportunity to sign up for a health insurance through TNMH.
  • Working hours – Usual work hours are from 8 am – 6 pm, Monday through Friday in our office in Allen, TX. When visiting job sites, protective clothing such as a hard hat and boots are required.
